Our Staff

Administrative Staff:

The Administrative Staff prides themselves on providing excellent patient service.  They are ready to assist you with all matters related to your care including appointment scheduling, communication with your referring doctors’ office, and provide fee estimates.  The team is knowledgeable in both medical and dental insurance coding and will help you understand your insurance coverage.

Charity

Charity earned a degree in Healthcare Administration. She loves to travel with her husband and son.  And enjoys taking walks with their two black labs.

Heidi

Heidi is new to dentistry but was exposed to the field at an early age.  Her Grandfather was a professor at the U of M School of dentistry.
after practicing in the Minnesota iron range. She earned an  Associate degree in business administration and loves working with the patients and their families. In oral surgery, there is something new and exciting to learn; and meeting new people every day makes coming to work,  joyful.
In her spare time, she loves spending time with her teenage son, working out and riding her Harley.

Our Clinical Staff

Our Licensed Dental Assistants are certified by the Minnesota State Board of Dentistry. After working with our team for six months, they begin certification in the AAOMS Dental Assistant Anesthesia National Certification program.  All clinical staff are certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS).  Thier goal is to provide you with safe, companionate care. 

 

Shania

Shania is a 2020 graduate of the Dental Assisting program at Hennepin Technical College in Eden Prairie.  She joined Northern Star OMS in the fall of 2020 as an intern and was hired full-time after completing her internship. In Shania’s spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling the world, and trying new foods.

 

Sierra

Sierra is a 2019 graduate of the Dental Assisting program at Hennepin Technical College in Eden Prairie.  She joined Northern Star OMS in the summer of 2019 as an intern and was hired on full-time after completing her internship. In Sierra’s spare time she enjoys being outdoors, playing video games with friends, and spending time with her husband and two cats.

Dr. David Basi


Dr. Basi’s role at NorthernStar OMS has changed over the years.  He, currently, participates in On Call duties and help with complex hospital procedures with Dr. Chavez.
