David L. Basi, D.M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Basi grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and attended the University of Pittsburgh where he received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering in 1990 and his D.M.D. degree in 1994. In 2002 he graduated with his certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Ph.D. in Oral Biology from the University of Minnesota, where he was an Associate Professor in the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for nine years. Dr. Basi’s previous research focused on the effects of bisphosphonates during oral wound healing. He has clinical interest in complex oral reconstruction with dental implants.  He is board certified, and a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Minnesota Dental Association and the American Dental Association.

In his spare time he runs after his twin daughters, Josephine and Vivianne. They were born in 2011. He enjoys music, golf and photography.
